2022/23 Premier League Breakout Stars Pt 2: The Up And Coming Players Who Could Shine This Season

With the Premier League season underway, we are going through every team to pinpoint one player who could become a breakout star.

It can be difficult to predict who will shine and who will flatter to deceive across a campaign but we have picked those we feel are showing a lot of promise.

This list doesn’t comprise only of young players. We have mentioned a couple of stars today who are a bit older but could have a breakthrough season after just arriving at their respective clubs.

Press the next page as we look at the possible breakout stars at Chelsea, Everton, Fulham and Leeds.

Chelsea – Carney Chukwuemeka

A whole host of clubs, both in the Premier League and abroad, were pursuing the young midfielder, but Chelsea were the ones who stepped in and paid Aston Villa’s £20m asking price.

Chukwuemeka is said to be keen on getting first-team minutes straight away but whether Thomas Tuchel will give him the game time, we shall have to wait and see.

Everton – Amadou Onana

West Ham had been chasing the Belgian international for a number of weeks before Everton stepped in and hijacked the transfer. The Toffees paid £34m which is a sizeable sum for a 20-year-old.

However, Onana is a dynamic all-action midfielder, and he does have the potential to really thrive in England, especially under the guidance of Frank Lampard, who is known for helping young players develop.

Fulham- Manor Solomon

The Israeli international’s move to Craven Cottage has been a protracted one. It was originally planned to be a permanent deal, but he ended up joining the newly-promoted side on loan instead.

Solomon is a diminutive winger who can twist and turn defenders inside out. He was linked with Arsenal eighteen months ago, and Fulham could have a player on their hands if manager Marco Silva can get the best out of him.

Leeds – Rasmus Kristensen

The Danish international scored TEN goals as a right-back for Red Bull Salzburg last season and, while playing in the Premier League is a different kettle of fish, don’t be surprised to see the defender on the scoresheet in the coming weeks and months.

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch plays an attacking brand of football, where the fullbacks play very high, so Kristensen is likely to get into plenty of goalscoring positions.
