2022/23 Premier League Breakout Stars Pt 3: The Up And Coming Players Who Could Shine This Season

In today’s post, we continue profiling the up-and-coming stars at every Premier League team who could have a breakthrough season.

The English top flight is the most competitive league in the world, so you have to be a pretty special player if you are to make an impression at this level.

This list includes some of the brightest young talents in the country, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if one or two of these names establish themselves as key players for their teams before the end of the campaign.

Press the next page as we go through the possible breakout stars at Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Leicester City – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

The midfielder broke into the Foxes’ first team at the start of last season and he has now established himself as a regular starter for Brendan Rodgers’s side.

Dewsbury-Hall has already gotten off the mark in the Premier League this campaign, scoring with a rasping long-range shot in the 2-2 draw against Brentford on the opening day.

Liverpool- Fabio Carvalho

The Portuguese playmaker had a key role in helping Fulham gain promotion back to the Premier League but the Reds managed to sign him for a modest fee due to his contract situation.

With Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino having left Anfield, Carvalho has already been elevated to one of the main alternatives off the bench in Jurgen Klopp’s front three. He could turn a few heads through the course of the season.

Manchester City – Julian Alvarez

The Argentinian striker has already been drawing comparisons to club legend Sergio Aguero, with his impressive goal record for River Plate having gained him plenty of admirers.

Alvarez may have to be patient for game time in the Premier League due to the presence of Erling Haaland, but he should still impress in some of the cup competitions.

Manchester United- Alejandro Garnacho

Manager Erik ten Hag gave the 18-year-old a brief cameo appearance during his first game in charge against Brighton, and we may see a lot more of the young Argentine as the campaign progresses.

With Marcus Rashford struggling for form, there is a genuine case for Garnacho to be given more chances on the left flank.
