Real Madrid are interested in signing Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, according to the Athletic (paywall). The winger is being watched by the Spanish giants and a bid could be made at the end of the season.
Sterling is said to be open to a move to the Bernabeu, although the 24-year-old is believed to be content on staying at the Etihad and developing his game under manager Pep Guardiola.
City fans on Twitter think it would take a record fee for City to even consider selling up:

Can honestly see this happening. Sterling always says he wants to play in Spain. No less than £250m though

Every player has his price. EVERY player! Hope he extends his contract but he's always stated he wants to play abroad at some point. The days of players spending ten years at one club is now no longer happening in the Prem. It is what it is.

Sterling is a key part of Guardiola’s plans, having started every game for the Citizens this season, up until the 8-0 win against Watford this weekend.
Since arriving from Liverpool in 2015, he has evolved into a world-class player, with his six goals in seven appearances this campaign indicating that he could be on course for his highest ever tally of goals in a single season.
