5 Premier League Stars (Who Cost A Combined 252M) Who Are Available To Buy This Summer

Although England’s transfer window doesn’t officially open until Friday, rumours and speculation about potential deals have been flying around for weeks.

Premier League clubs are already in the process of revamping their squads ahead of next season, with multiple incomings and outgoings expected.

Reports have already confirmed that a number of star players are up for sale, with many of them having been signed for very high prices.

Press the next page as we name five high-profile Premier League stars who have effectively been placed on the transfer list.

Said Benrahma – West Ham  (Cost £30m)

The Algerian international only signed on a permanent basis from Brentford eighteen months ago but he is already deemed surplus to requirements by manager David Moyes.

Despite scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 48 appearances last season, the Hammers will reportedly listen to offers for Benrahma as they look to free up funds to sign other players.

Romelu Lukaku – Chelsea (Cost £97.5m)

The Belgian’s disastrous return to Stamford Bridge has been well documented and it appears that the Blues are trying to negotiate a deal so he can go back to Inter Milan.

Despite Chelsea shelling out a club-record fee for Lukaku, the player has not managed to fit into Thomas Tuchel’s style of play, while his ill-advised interview with Italian TV managed to damage his reputation with the fans.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka –  Manchester United (Cost £50m)

Multiple reports indicate that the Red Devils are open to offers for the former Crystal Palace defender. He hasn’t managed to kick on since arriving at Old Trafford three years ago and it seems the decision has been made to cut him loose.

A move back to Selhurst Park on loan looks the likeliest possibility for Wan-Bissaka but, if United do manage to sell him, they will have to take a massive hit on the transfer fee.

Timo Werner – Chelsea (Cost £47.5m)

The German has been a major disappointment since arriving from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020. His habit of being caught offside, combined with his tendency to miss absolute sitters, have meant that he has spent most of his second season in England on the bench.

Chelsea are open to selling Werner, and a move back to Germany is the likeliest outcome, but the striker’s sizeable wages mean it is not 100% guaranteed that he will leave Stamford Bridge.

Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City (Cost £27m)

The Brazilian has a year left on his contract at the Etihad and, with the player keen on being a regular starter ahead of the World Cup later this year, he is said to be looking to leave.

City are believed to have put a €50m (£43m) price tag on Jesus and, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all interested, they could still make a profit on the forward.
