Manchester City have triggered PSV Eindhoven left-back Angelino’s €6m (£5.4m) buy-back clause, according to reports in the Dutch media.
The Citizens sold the Spaniard to the Eredivisie side for €5.5m last summer but after a successful season in the Netherlands, the Premier League champions are now poised to bring him back.
Supporters on Twitter are excited to see Angelino return to the Etihad Stadium:
This kid will surprise many. He’s a speedy version Zinchenko.

Angelino was once the 'best prospect in our academy'. He won back to back best LB (in two different teams) in the ?? league. The kid went to play at NYCFC. WEARS #69.
HE'S A WARRIOR.

What's going to happen with Zinchenko once Angelino comes back?

The fullback had an excellent campaign for PSV, having contributed a hugely impressive 12 assists in 43 appearances.
Although manager Pep Guardiola does have both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy at his disposal to play on the left-hand side, another option could prove to be useful.
There have been reports that Mendy has fully recovered from the knee injuries that have plagued his two-year spell in Manchester, but having Angelino at the club could offer better insurance just in case the Frenchman does break down once again next season.
