Aston Villa V Manchester City: Carabao Cup Final Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City will be looking to follow up their famous win in Madrid by picking up yet another trophy when they face off against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The Citizens will, though, be without Aymeric Laporte who limped off after just 32 minutes during the 2-1 victory against Real. He is not expected to recover in time for the trip to Wembley. Leroy Sane (knee) is back in training but he is unlikely to feature as the German is still building up his fitness:

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Aston Villa:

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Mendy, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Rodri, David Silva, Sterling, Aguero

Aston Villa could have John McGinn and Keinan Davis back in contention following injury, but they will be without Wesley (knee), Jed Steer (Achilles) and Tom Heaton (knee). Anwar El Ghazi is also a doubt due to a head injury he sustained in the defeat to Southampton last weekend.

Aston Villa’s Predicted XI:

Nyland, Elmohamady, Konsa, Engels, Mings, Taylor, Drinkwater, Nakamba, Trezeguet, Samatta, Grealish

The bookies have City as red hot favourites to lift the trophy with Sky Bet pricing them at 1/6 odds-on for the win. A draw after 90 minutes is 17/2 with Betfair while a Villa victory is 19/1 at the same bookmaker.

Predicted Score – 4-0 to City
