140M Part Exchange Offer Could Allow City To Beat Chelsea And United In Race For Marquee Signing

Manchester City may well have found a way of signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer, according to reports in England.

It is believed that Spurs would be tempted into offloading the England captain if the Citizens included Gabriel Jesus as part of the deal.

The Brazilian is thought to be worth around £70m and if City were to offer another £70m on top of the player, it could lead to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy considering a sale.

Were such a deal possible, it would certainly make Pep Guardiola’s side the favourites to sign the 27-year-old, ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

There are, of course, some major hurdles to overcome. There are question marks over whether Jesus would be interested in moving to Tottenham and also whether the London club’s new manager would approve such an exchange.

Spurs are believed to be in discussions with their former head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Kane’s sale would probably not go down too well with him. We shall see if this transfer story has any legs.
