Manchester City are eyeing Tottenham striker Harry Kane as a potential candidate to replace Sergio Aguero as the club’s main striker, according to reports in the UK.
Both the Citizens and archrivals Manchester United are said to be keen on the 26-year-old but Spurs are likely to hold out for an eye-watering fee in the region of £200m.

Despite City’s spending over the years, it must be pointed out that their record transfer is only £62.8m, which they paid to trigger Rodri’s release clause last summer.
To get Kane, they would have to treble their current record, which is highly unlikely to happen. The Spurs forward could agitate for a move, if he is keen to move on to win trophies, which could bring down the price a bit.
Additionally, if the London club do fail to qualify for the Champions League, they will be under more pressure to sell, although it’s still doubtful the valuation would come down to a price that City would be comfortable with.
