2022/23 Premier League Breakout Stars Pt 1: The Up And Coming Players Who Could Shine This Season

With the new Premier League season upon us, we have decided to take a look at a potential breakout star from every team, who could go on to make a lasting impression this campaign.

Some of these players may have already played some matches in the English top flight, or have impressed in other leagues, but they have yet to really show what they can do at the highest level.

The youngsters on this list could all be poised to hit the big time over the course of 2022/23 if they are afforded the minutes at their respective teams.

Press the next page as we go through the possible breakout stars at Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton.

Arsenal – William Saliba

After being sent out on no less than three separate loan spells away from the Emirates, the 21-year-old is now set to be given his chance in the Gunners’ first team.

Saliba is already a fully-fledged France international, and he has impressed with his performances during pre-season. Many are tipping the centre-back to play a prominent role in the coming months.

Bournemouth – Marcus Tavernier

The Cherries have been rather quiet in the transfer market this summer, but their first major purchase was the Middlesbrough midfielder who could well cause defences a lot of problems.

If Tavernier can combine well with the likes of Dominic Solanke and Ryan Christie, who themselves could also have a big impact in the top flight this season, Scott Parker’s side may have a chance of staying up.

Brentford – Keane Lewis-Potter

Many have compared the 21-year-old to Jarrod Brown, and for good reason. He’s had a similar trajectory, making a name for himself at Hull City and scoring plenty of goals in the Championship last campaign.

Lewis-Potter may well need some time to develop, as he is still a relatively inexperienced winger, but he has the perfect environment to thrive in at Brentford, who have also signed another promising youngster in Aaron Hickey.

Brighton – Moises Caicedo

The Ecuadorian showed a few glimpses of what he can do last season and, with Yves Bissouma having left for Tottenham, he is likely to be afforded regular game time by manager Graham Potter.

Caicedo was pursued by the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea before making the switch to the Amex, so he is very highly rated. At 20 years of age, he has time on his side to progress even further and he may well be on a number of clubs’ radar by the end of the campaign.
