Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has expressed his delight at being called up to England’s Under 21s.
The teenager shared a short video of him meeting up with Under 21 boss Aidy Boothroyd, as well as sharing a joke with senior manager Gareth Southgate:

Foden certainly has the talent to make it at the top level, and many believe he could be the missing link between England’s midfield and forward line.
However, it’s wise to take one step at a time. The 18-year-old has only played 15 senior games at club level and has yet to make an appearance for England’s Under 21s.
Foden’s progression has been rapid after winning the Under 17 World Cup with England. Manager Pep Guardiola says the attacking midfielder is ready to play at international level, and will likely play a lot of games for City over the course of the season.
