The agent of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has confirmed the forward has yet to decide where he will be playing his football next campaign.
At the moment, the 32-year-old’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of the season and when asked whether he has already held talks with his client, Hernan Reguera said he had not had any discussions about his future:
“Look, I haven’t talked to anyone. I have no idea. And by the way, I’m on vacation right now.”
Pressed further about whether Aguero would be interested in playing in Italy or Spain, Reguera said the Argentine is open to the possibility but no decision has been made:
“Yes. We’ll see what the player wants.”
Inter Milan have been linked with a move for the forward in recent weeks, and City boss Pep Guardiola has said that the club legend will still need to prove himself on the pitch in order to earn another contract.
Aguero has stated in the past that he would prefer to return to Argentina to play for his first club Independiente before he retires but whether that happens next summer, or if he’ll decide to move elsewhere, it remains to be seen.
