Manchester City are keeping tabs on Napoli holding midfielder Allan, according to reports in Italy.
The Brazilian is reportedly happy to stay at the Partenopei for the time being but Pep Guardiola’s side are said to have increased their scouting of the 27-year-old in recent weeks.
Fans on Twitter are uncertain whether an offer for Allan would be the right move:
Amazing signing if it happens

City failed with a bid for Allan’s teammate Jorginho in the summer, with former manager Maurizio Sarri having persuaded the Italian to move to Chelsea instead.
The Blues are also reportedly keen on the Brazilian, but it’s unlikely they’ll make a bid for the player in the January transfer window due to the abundance of central midfielders in their squad.
So far this season, Allan has made 16 appearances in all competitions under head coach Carlo Ancelotti, starting 13 and contributing two assists. His form has also been rewarded with a call-up to the Brazilian national team for the first time.
Manager Tite has included him in the squad for the matches against Uruguay and Cameroon this week.
