Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is not expecting to move to Manchester City, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The 25-year-old was linked with a £50m transfer to the Etihad earlier in the summer but the defender’s entourage are not aware of any approach from the Premier League champions.

Tierney is said to be preparing to start the campaign with the Gunners, after missing the end of last season with a knee injury. The Scottish international underwent surgery in April, missing the final ten league games as his side missed out on the top four.

City are on the lookout for a new left-sided defender but most reports suggest that they are focusing their efforts on signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton.

The Seagulls are, though, reluctant to sell the Spanish international and Pep Guardiola’s side may well have to shell out between £40m to £50m to secure the player’s services.
