Bayern Try To Stop City, United And Liverpool From Snatching Ex Chelsea Starlet

Bayern Munich are set to offer attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala a new contract, according to reports in Germany.

The England Under 21 international moved to the Bundesliga club from Chelsea in July last year and he has gone on to make a big impact in the first team this season, with three goals in eight league appearances.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are believed to be among the clubs interested in snapping up Musiala but Bayern are looking to ensure he signs on to a lucrative new deal when he turns 18 in February.

Reports suggest that the contract could be worth up to £100,000 a week, with performance-related bonuses being added on top of that figure. It is a tremendous show of faith in a teenager who has only 14 senior appearances to his name.

Musiala is undoubtedly a very talented player, though, and City will certainly be disappointed if they do miss out on his signature.
