Bid Ruled Out For £30m Rated Teenager As City Leave Way Clear For United

Manchester City have no interest in signing Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to the Manchester Evening News. The local newspaper reports that the Citizens will not battle rivals Manchester United for his signature.

The Red Devils are said to have had a number of bids knocked back for the teenager already with Birmingham unwilling to let the player leave for less than £30m.

Bellingham has been a regular for the Midlands club this season despite only being 16 years of age. Blues manager Pep Clotet has started him in 21 games so far this campaign, with the player featuring in 28 games in total.

No doubt, he is a very promising talent but City already have young players such as Phil Foden and Tommy Doyle coming through the youth ranks at the Etihad.

Manager Pep Guardiola would be very hesitant to put extra obstacles in the way of Foden, in particular, who has been tipped as David Silva’s heir once the Spanish legend departs the club in the summer.
