Brazilian Playmaker Reveals Manchester City Transfer Dream Despite Being Linked With Chelsea And Arsenal

Palmeiras attacking midfielder Raphael Veiga says he dreams of playing for Manchester City.

In an exclusive interview with TNT Sports Brazil, the 27-year-old said that the Premier League champions would be his choice if he were to leave Palmeiras.

Reports earlier this month had claimed that the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham and Wolves had been in contact with Veiga’s representatives.

The 27-year-old has spent most of his career with Palmeiras, having racked up 66 goals and 23 assists in 205 appearances for the Brazilian club over a six-and-a-half-year period.

City are likely to be in the market for a new midfielder this summer, with captain Ilkay Gundogan and (potentially) Bernardo Silva both leaving the Etihad Stadium.

Veiga’s recent form would make him a legitimate target. He is expected to be given his senior debut for Brazil this weekend, but we shall see if he does make a move to Europe when the summer transfer window opens.
