Ederson has recently celebrated his and his wife’s tenth anniversary to the day when they first began dating. To mark the occasion, the Brazilian ‘keeper made a heartfelt post on Instagram dedicated to their long-lasting relationship.
The 29-year-old married Lais Moraes in 2014, after just a year of dating. They have three children – Yasmin, Henrique and Laura – who were born in 2017, 2018 and 2020, respectively. They first met when Ederson was playing in Portugal for Rio Ave at the age of 20 – he made 37 league appearances for Vilacondenses.
He will be a key man in the upcoming FA Cup tie against Arsenal where you could see penalties coming into play and indeed across the rest of the season as Man City try and chase down the Gunners in the title race. With Manchester United potentially having a big influence as they face Arsenal this Sunday.
In the post, Ederson wrote [translated from Portuguese]: “Our 10 anniversary of dating! I love you, our family and everything we’ve built together over these years.”

Fellow Brazilian goalkeeper, Julio Cesar, congratulated his national compatriot in the comments. He simply replied to the post with a trio of love heart emojis.
Brazilian entrepreneur, Felipe Sanchez, also gave the couple his congratulations. In the comments, he wrote [translated from Portuguese]: “Congratulations you beauties!!!!! May God always bless this union.”
The post was liked by Joao Cancelo, one of Ederson’s Manchester City teammates. Currently, the South American shot stopper has 3.3 million followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, Lais Moraes has over 91,000.
