City Ace Is Named Alongside Arsenal And Liverpool Stars In WhoScored’s Team Of The Week

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been selected in WhoScored.com‘s “Team of The Week” following his hat-trick versus Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The Norwegian was given an 8.35 rating by the website, who rank every top flight player’s performance based on statistics.

Haaland’s three goals were played down as “nothing special” by manager Pep Guardiola, citing the player’s outstanding scoring record to demonstrate that he is capable of putting in performances like that on a regular basis.

Surprisingly, no other City player made it into WhoScored‘s team this week. Two Fulham players, Bernd Leno & Antonee Robinson were included along with Wolves’ Ruben Neves, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Everton winger Anthony Gordon.

The rest of the eleven was comprised of Liverpool stars, following their 9-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino were named, having all recorded goals in the record equalling victory.
