Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been included in WhoScored.com‘s Team of the Week following his excellent performance against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.
The England international may have not got on the scoresheet but it was undoubtedly his best display since the start of the season, taking on players and being a constant menace to Villa’s backline.
After being handed more starts by Pep Guardiola in recent weeks, Sterling has done all he can to prove to his manager that he merits inclusion on a regular basis going forward.
The 26-year-old was joined in WhoScored‘s eleven by Chelsea pair Mason Mount & Antonio Rudiger, as well as Liverpool trio Diogo Jota, Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was selected in goal, while Leeds fullback Stuart Dallas, Wolves centre-half Max Kilman, Burnley defender Charlie Taylor and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo made up the rest of the team.
