City And Chelsea ‘Ready’ To Put Offer On The Table For £27m Rated Ligue One Stopper

Manchester City and Chelsea are both “ready” to make a move for Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara, according to Sport.Fr.

The French website claims there are numerous clubs interested in the 20-year-old from both the Premier League and La Liga, but City and the Blues are the two teams who are leading the race for the player.

Marseille are willing to let Kamara leave due to financial reasons, and while the centre-back is reportedly keen on staying at the Stade Velodrome, the Ligue One side are likely to force through a sale.

Reports suggest that €30m (£27m) may well be enough to secure the defender’s signature, with Marseille needing to balance the books.

City are on the lookout for a defender, with manager Pep Guardiola having not replaced Vincent Kompany last summer. Whether Kamara would have the ability and sufficient experience to play regularly in the Premier League, it remains to be seen.
