City And Serie A Giants Leading Race For 64M Rated Serbian Poacher Who Could Be Sold As Early As January

Manchester City and Juventus are the leading candidates to snap up Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

The Serbian international has rejected a new contract with the Viola, and the Serie A side are believed to be willing to negotiate a sale in the New Year.

Vlahovic’s current asking price is €75m (£64m), which is unlikely to prove much of an obstacle for the Citizens, but there are thought to be other teams involved in the battle for the 21-year-old.

In addition to Juve, there have been stories linking Vlahovic with Atletico Madrid, as well as, more tentatively, Manchester United and Arsenal.

Out of all those teams, City have the most resources and the greatest need to sign a new number nine so they should be clear favourites for Vlahovic’s signature. His availability will make him an attractive target, although it remains to be seen whether he is, in fact, a player that the Premier League champions see as their top priority.
