City And United Enquire About £53.6m Rated Brazilian Lighting Up The Copa America

Manchester City and Manchester United have made enquiries about Gremio winger Everton, according to reports in Brazil.

The 23-year-old has been starring at the Copa America having scored two goals and provided one assist for Brazil in three group games.

Everton is also reportedly being chased by a number of European clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan said to be keen on the wide man.

Gremio are believed to be prepared to sell the player for the right price. The midfielder has a €60m (£53.6m) release clause but no club has opted to trigger it just yet.

Whether City would need another winger, it seems unlikely at the moment, unless Leroy Sane does leave for Bayern Munich this summer.

The club have slapped a £90m asking price on the player and it appears the German would be prepared to turn down a move back to his homeland.

However, City have yet to make a breakthrough in talks with Sane over a new contract. His current deal runs out in 24 months time.
