City And United Join Hunt To Sign One Of Italy’s Most Exciting Young Talents

Manchester City and Manchester United have joined a host of clubs in the race to sign Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter Milan are also pursuing the Italian international, who has been in superb form for the Viola this campaign.

While Fiorentina have been languishing in midtable, Chiesa has been one of the club’s standout performers.

Over the past month, he has scored a brace against Torino in the Coppa Italia, a double against Chievo Verona in the league as well as bagging himself a hat-trick in the 7-1 rout over Roma in the last round of the cup.

10 goals and six assists in 24 appearances this season is an excellent return for a player who is ostensibly a winger.

Chiesa already has 11 caps for Italy’s senior side despite being just 21 years of age, and he clearly has the potential to progress his game further as well.
