City And United Must Match £53m Asking Price If They Want To Secure Portuguese International

Manchester City and Manchester United must meet Juventus’s asking price if they want to sign Joao Cancelo this summer, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper reports that the two Manchester clubs are interested in the Portuguese international but they may have to be patient if they want to sign the player.

Cancelo is said to be available for €60m (£53m) but his situation will ultimately be decided by Juve’s next manager.

Max Allegri has left the Bianconeri after clinching his fifth consecutive Serie A title, with speculation linking Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri with taking over at the Italian club.

City’s interest in Cancelo is likely dependent on Danilo’s future. The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Inter Milan but the fullback could still remain at the Etihad this summer.

Cancelo only joined Juventus for €40m, and despite playing in 34 matches last campaign, the player could be moved on for a profit.
