City And United Plot Summer Raid Despite England Star Looking Poised To Sign New Deal

Manchester City and Manchester United are among the teams who will look to make a move for Jadon Sancho next summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old left the Etihad Stadium for Borussia Dortmund two years ago but the Citizens have retained an interest in the player since his departure from the Premier League.

Sancho will reportedly sign a new £190,000 a week contract to remain at his current club this week. His new deal will see him earn £10m a year, more than doubling what he previously earned.

Despite apparently committing his long term future to Dortmund, it seems that the likes of City will test the German club’s resolve with an offer in the not too distant future.

Currently, it is hard to see where Sancho would fit in, with manager Pep Guardiola blessed with a number of talented wide players, including Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez. One of these players would likely have to depart to make room for the England international.
