Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on Joao Felix’s situation at Atletico Madrid, according to reports in the Portuguese media.

The 22-year-old is believed to have fallen out with his manager Diego Simeone and he is keen on leaving the Wanda Metropolitano when the transfer window reopens in January.

United previously made an approach for Felix in the summer but the player was persuaded to stay by Simeone and Atletico’s board on the proviso that he would be a key player for the La Liga side going forward. However, that hasn’t proven to be the case.

The Portuguese international has struggled for minutes this season. The last time he was selected in the starting lineup was for the Madrid derby, which is just over a month ago. It’s a surprising fall from grace for a player who cost Atletico £113m just over three years ago.

Whether City will seriously consider a move for Felix, considering they already have the likes of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez at their disposal, we shall have to wait and see.
