Manchester City are keeping tabs on Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Nigerian international has been in red-hot form at the start of this campaign, having bagged six goals from just six appearances in all competitions.

Osimhen’s performances have not only grabbed the attention of City’s scouts but Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid have also been watching him too.

Napoli have no intention of selling the 22-year-old at this time, though. The Serie A leaders snapped up the striker from Lille for €80m last year, and they are reportedly not willing to countenance offers below €120m (£104m).

With City keen on finding an alternative for Harry Kane, Osimhen’s price tag probably wouldn’t be a problem for them, but they will be considering other options as well.

Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has a release clause that comes into effect next summer and the Citizens may go after the Norwegian international instead as he would be cheaper than Osimhen.
