City Could Miss Out On Croatian Star With Rival PL Club Holding Talks With Agent Over 17M Transfer

Manchester City could lose out on another potential left-back target with Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa reportedly closing in on a move to West Ham.

Croatian news outlet Index claims that “sources” have told them that the defender’s agents have been in London over the past couple of days discussing a possible switch to the Hammers.

Sosa is believed to be valued at around €20m (£17m) by Stuttgart and, in addition to City and West Ham, Chelsea have also been mentioned as potential suitors this summer.

However, despite a switch to the London Stadium looking increasingly likely, it seems as though City are not overly concerned by the development, with the Premier League champions focused on other targets.

A deal for Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez is reportedly close to being finalised but the Citizens are expected to be in the market for another left-sided defender before the transfer window closes later this month.
