Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz wants to play for Bayern Munich, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Reports in Germany had suggested that Manchester City and Barcelona were among the clubs interested in the teenager, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool also in the mix.

However, it appears Havertz has already made up his mind about his future with the Catalan media suggesting that Barca will not make an offer for the 19-year-old as they are aware that the player wants to play for Bayern.

The German international, who is reportedly rated at €80m (£72m) by his club, has been in great form this season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in just 20 appearances. His performances were rewarded with his first senior cap for Germany in a friendly against Peru back in September.

City have reportedly sent scouts to see Havertz in action this season, and had kept in touch with the midfielder’s agent in recent months, but it looks like they may have lost out on the player.
