Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to bid farewell to midfielder Yaya Toure after his last ever appearance at The Etihad Stadium yesterday afternoon.
Toure, 34, will leave the club at the end of the season after eight trophy-full campaigns with the Sky Blues.
The Ivorian was presented with his third Premier League winners medal yesterday afternoon following the draw with Huddersfield Town.
During his time in Manchester, he has also won the FA Cup, as well as two-league cup trophies, however with a heavy heart, the Ivory Coast star says now is the right time to leave.

“It’s the first club where I’ve stayed for a long time.” Toure said. “After eight years of service I think it’s the right time to move on and let the kids continue to take the responsibility.
“I’m really happy, I’m delighted to be part of this football club and they’ll be looking forward to being strong next year, they’ve played fantastic football and I hope there will be more of the same next year.
“I’m delighted [to have won three Premier League titles], to be honest. When you see all the trajectory over the course of the eight years I’ve been here, it’s unbelievable. I’m very happy to be part of this football club.”
Eight-two goals in just over 300 appearances for City, Toure is a bonafide City legend, and one the fans are sad to see leave the club …
Yaya Touré has given me some of the finest moments I’ve ever witnessed as a City fan. 1) FA Cup SF April ‘11, 2) St James’ Park May ‘12 and 3) one of the best strikes I’ve ever seen, at March ‘14 League Cup. Thanks for the memories, big fella #Yaya #mcfc
