City Handed Golden Opportunity To Sign 60M Rated Spanish Midfield Maestro Ahead Of United And Chelsea

Atletico Madrid have offered Saul Niguez to Manchester City as part of a direct swap deal involving Bernardo Silva, according to reports in the UK.

Silva is believed to be unsettled at the Etihad Stadium and with manager Pep Guardiola keen to bring in Jack Grealish, it is believed the Portuguese international could be offloaded this summer.

Niguez has been targeted by City in previous transfer windows but it remains to be seen whether they want him now. The 26-year-old is said to be a target for both Chelsea and Manchester United, with Atletico valuing him at €70m (£60m).

It is thought that the La Liga champions see the deal as an ideal solution to get around any Financial Fairplay rules, with no money changing hands.

However, with City needing to raise funds to sign the likes of Harry Kane and the aforementioned Grealish, they may simply want to get cash for Silva rather than getting another midfielder in exchange.
