City Have FIVE Backup Options If Their Attempts To Sign Harry Kane Fail

Manchester City are looking at five alternatives if they fail to secure Harry Kane’s signature this summer, according to reports in the UK.

Spurs are reluctant to let the England captain leave and if the striker, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, does remain in London, the Citizens have already lined up a number of other options.

As expected, Erling Haaland And Romelu Lukaku are being looked at, but the Manchester club are also considering moves for Lukaku’s Inter teammate Lautaro Martinez, Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.

The Portuguese forward has been a longstanding target for City, and Atletico’s interest in Bernardo Silva could well be important in a potential swap deal for the striker.

Felix would hardly be a like-for-like replacement for Sergio Aguero as he isn’t a prolific goalscorer, but he would fit into Pep Guardiola’s system perfectly and he has room to develop his game in the future.
