City Identify New Left Back Target As They Scout Croatian Under 21 International

Manchester City are interested in signing Stuttgart full-back Borna Sosa, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Citizens are believed to be keen on strengthening their options at left-back this summer and scouts have identified the Croatian Under 21 international as a possible option.

Sosa has mostly played as a wingback for Stuttgart this season, having contributed an impressive eight assists in 23 appearances. He does, however, lack experience, having only limited game time in the German top flight.

He moved to Stuttgart from Dinamo Zagreb just before the Bundesliga side were relegated to the second division and he barely played during their push for promotion last campaign.

Even so, Sosa’s qualities in the final third of the pitch will undoubtedly be seen as a massive plus point, considering how manager Pep Guardiola uses his fullbacks. Whether his attacking attributes will be enough to get him his move to the Etihad, we shall see.
