Manchester City pair John Stones and Bernardo Silva have “returned to Manchester City training”, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Stones has not played since the Community Shield all the way back in early August due to a thigh injury but he is now available ahead of the games against RB Leipzig and Arsenal.
Bernardo Silva is also in contention to play again, having missed the last 3 matches versus Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Wolves due to a knock.
Manager Pep Guardiola will be delighted to have two important players in contention to feature in two key fixtures ahead of the international break.
City will be keen to get back to winning ways after some disappointing results
After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the third round stage, and suffering their first loss in the league this season, Guardiola will be looking for a reaction from his team against Leipzig.
The Citizens have faced the Bundesliga club a number of times in recent years and they have generally come out on the winning side. They will be hoping for another victory on Wednesday evening.
City may only have 2 players unavailable against Arsenal
Guardiola has raised some concerns about his lack of squad options in recent weeks due to a spate of injuries but, as long as they come through the Leipzig match unscathed tomorrow, City may only have 1 player on the sidelines going into this weekend’s match at the Emirates.
With Stones and Silva back in action, Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring) is the solitary player in the treatment room. Rodri will also be missing for the the Gunners clash, as he serves the final game of his 3-match suspension, following his sending-off against Forest last month.
