City Join Chelsea And Three Other Teams In Battle To Sign Bundesliga Sensation

Manchester City have joined Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic, according to reports in England.

The Serbian has scored 15 goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances this season, and he is a player that is in high demand across Europe.

Jovic is currently on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica but his move will be made permanent in the summer for just £6m.

It will then be up to the German club whether they opt to cash in and sell on the 21-year-old for a massive profit.

Reports in Germany had suggested that Chelsea had already made a £39.5m offer for Jovic, but the Blues’ transfer ban will almost certainly halt their pursuit of the Serbian international.

City could take advantage of this in the summer, although it is believed they are prioritising a new holding midfielder and a left back before targeting a striker.
