City Look To Beat United, Chelsea And Arsenal As They Eye Deal For French Teenage Sensation

Manchester City have joined the pursuit of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to 90min.com. The website reports that the Citizens have a keen interest in the 17-year-old but they will have to fight off a host of European clubs to secure the player’s signature.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all believed to be tracking the Frenchman, but the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also said to be keeping tabs on the holding midfielder.

Camavinga has only made 23 senior appearances in his career so far, having made his first-team debut last season in a 3-3 draw against Angers back in April.

Since then, the teenager has established himself as a regular starter for Rennes and has even been called up for France’s Under 21 side.

City are reportedly intent on winning the race for Camavinga, but he could cost a substantial amount with Rennes having tied down the player to a new three-year contract back in August.
