City Make Enquiry For Juventus Star After Sporting Director Arrives For Talks In London

Manchester City have made an enquiry about Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, according to reports in the Italian media.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be keen on the Brazilian international but the Citizens are believed to be the only team to have asked about the player’s availability.

Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici was in London this week to discuss the potential sale of some of the Serie A champions’ players and it has been reported that Sandro’s name came up. At this stage, it is not thought that City will firm up their interest with a formal offer for the 29-year-old but it does seem as though manager Pep Guardiola is keen on bringing in another left-back.

Right-back Joao Cancelo was employed on the left-hand side in both of City’s Champions League knockout ties this month, with Guardiola not convinced by either Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko. A move for another natural left-sided fullback is a possibility this summer.
