Louis Saha: Arsenal And The Chasing Pack Have A “Big Job” On Their Hands If They Want To Beat This City Team

Ex-Manchester United and Everton striker Louis Saha believes that Manchester City remain the team to beat in the Premier League.

Speaking to Paddy Power, Saha said that Pep Guardiola’s side and Liverpool have the tactics and players that mean the likes of Arsenal and the chasing pack have it all to do if they want to beat them to the title:

“I still think Manchester City and Liverpool are the strongest teams, even if Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne and Jack Grealish have been injured or not on top form. They do it well when they’re all focused on what they must do.”

“They all have confidence in Pep Guardiola’s set up and they really trust the system and have consistent players. Even with people saying Haaland’s not been playing that well, he’s still scored so many goals. They’re an unbelievable team.”

“Arsenal and the others chasing will have a big job in the last 10 games. This is where we’re going to see how composed they are and if they have the tactics to open up teams and that’s where Liverpool and Manchester City are used to dominating everybody.”

City’s experience does give them the edge against Arsenal

After coming from behind to overhaul the Gunners in the title race last season, City are actually in a better position this time around, being a point ahead of Mikel Arteta’s side heading into this weekend’s games.

No matter if they are chasing down a team or leading from the front, the reigning champions have shown that they will not lose their heads during the run-in.

Sunday’s game could prove decisive

Plenty will agree with Saha’s remarks that City and Liverpool are the “strongest teams” in the Premier League, despite Arsenal also proving to be formidable opponents.

If Guardiola’s men can secure a win at Anfield this weekend, though, it would be a massive statement heading into the final 10 games of the campaign.
