Manchester City V Manchester United Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City will be strong favourites to secure the three points when they take on United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola’s side have not lost at home in any competition so far this season, while their opponents are struggling with form and injury issues heading into the derby.

The Cityzens have an almost fully fit squad to choose from ahead of this weekend’s encounter. Jack Grealish has been ruled out with a groin injury but Josko Gvardiol could be back available if he recovers in time from an ankle problem.

While the Croatian international has sat out the last five games, Guardiola did confirm earlier this week that the defender is closing in on a return to full training. He could be on the bench to face United.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI to take on United:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Alvarez, Silva, Haaland, Foden

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has no less than eight players on the treatment table at the moment. The nearest to making his return is Harry Maguire. The defender did sit out the win over Nottingham Forest midweek but he was said to be sidelined with a minor knock.

Rasmus Hojlund (muscular), Mason Mount (calf), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (muscular), Lisandro Martinez (knee), Anthony Martial (groin), Tyrell Malacia (knee) and Luke Shaw (muscular) have all been ruled out of contention.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI:

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Evans, Lindelof, Casemiro, Fernandes, Mainoo, Antony, Rashford, Garnacho
