Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell wants to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes this month, according to reports in the English media.

Manchester City have been linked with the 18-year-old but it was expected that they would make an approach when his contract expires at the end of the season.

However, Soonsup-Bell is eager to leave his current team in January, and it remains to be seen whether City will be prepared to pay some sort of fee in order to get him now.

The forward does have plenty of other suitors in the Premier League and abroad, so it’s likely that Pep Guardiola’s side will have to move fast to get their man.

Soonsup-Bell has already made his senior debut after he was handed a start by Thomas Tuchel in the Carabao Cup tie versus Brentford last season. He hasn’t made a first-team appearance since then, though, having played nine games for the Under 21s this campaign.
