City Plotting Another Bid To Stop United From Sealing Deal For £90m Rated Star

Manchester City have not given up hope on signing Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire, according to reports in England.

The Citizens were believed to have been put off by the Foxes’ valuation of the defender, but they are said to be weighing up another offer.

Manchester United and City have seen opening bids rejected for Maguire, both reportedly in the region of £70m.

With Pep Guardiola’s side having cooled their interest after their refusal to get involved in a bidding war with United, it seemed likely that the centre-half would end up at Old Trafford instead.

However, it appears City may yet have a change of heart and look to hijack the transfer at the last minute. Maguire has reportedly asked to leave Leicester but the Foxes remain adamant that the player will only leave if their asking price is met.

The price tag is said to be £90m, which would make England international the most expensive defender in history.
