City Prepared To Blow PL Rivals Out Of The Water With £203K A Week Contract Offer To Spanish Starlet

Manchester City are expected to offer Celta Vigo attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga a contract worth €60m (£52.75m) over five years, according to reports in the Spanish media.

If the figures are accurate, it means that Pep Guardiola’s side are prepared to hand him a deal that would see him earn approximately £203,000 a week.

Real Madrid are said to be keen on recruiting Veiga but the 20-year-old also has plenty of other Premier League suitors, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle.

With the personal terms on offer likely to be much higher than their rivals are willing to pay, City seem well placed to land the Spanish Under 21 international.

Veiga has a €40m (£35m) release clause in his contract, which Celta have told clubs to match, but that fee should not be an issue for the Citizens. We shall see if they do make their move during the summer transfer window.
