City Set To Challenge Chelsea For German International Who Could Be Sold For Just 26M

Manchester City remain interested in signing Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan newspaper reports that Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on the German international, with the player having just one year left on his contract.

Gosens could well be sold for a fee in the region of €30m (£26m), with Atalanta keen to ensure they offload the defender before his current deal runs down, and that figure has attracted interest from a whole host of teams.

In recent days, reports in the English press have also suggested that Chelsea may make a move for the 26-year-old, who has scored ten goals and contributed eight assists in 38 appearances this season.

City are believed to be in the market for a new left-back with Gosens, Atletico Madrid’s Renan Lodi and Benfica’s Alejandro Grimaldo all having been mentioned as potential targets over the last week.
