City star admits he is constantly developing

Manchester City and England defender John Stones insists he is learning and developing every day at the club to become a better player.

Stones is widely regarded as one of the best up and coming centre backs in the world, and his £47.5m move from Everton back in 2016 raised a lot of eyebrows as well as expectations.

It is fair to say that Stones has had a turbulent time so far at the Etihad, but he is certainly improving and there is little doubt that he will become a big star in the years to come.

Stones has played a part in 10 of City’s 11 Premier League games this season, and as Pep Guardiola’s side continue to rampage through the season, the defender is hoping he can continue to play well on a personal level too.

He said: “I don’t think there’s ever been a point where I haven’t been developing and learning. That doesn’t mean it’s always been good. I have had to take dips and take a good look at myself.

“I feel every day I go out on the training pitch there’s something to get out of it. Not just me, all the boys all have that same mentality so that is why everyone is performing for their club.

“I have been on a good run personally and I want to keep that going.”
