City Star Clocked As The Premier League’s Fastest Player Ahead Of Traore And United Starlet

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker clocked the highest top speed of any player in the Premier League last season. The 23.49mph he reached in the game against Chelsea on June 25th, means he was actually faster than Adama Traore.

The Wolves winger was just behind in second place, being recorded at 23.48 mph versus Chelsea in the 2-0 defeat yesterday afternoon.

Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood makes up the top three, along with his teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Aston Villa’s Trezeguet.

The rest of the top ten has some surprising names, including Leicester’s Caglar Soyuncu, Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Southampton’s Shane Long and Manchester United’s Fred.

Phil Foden even makes it into tenth (clocking a speed of 23.07mph against Aston Villa in October), which demonstrates, not only that the teenager is an excellent passer and creative outlet, but has pace to burn.

With David Silva having decided to leave the Etihad, Foden should have many more opportunities to run at opposition defences next campaign.
