City Star Earns PFA Awards Nomination For March After Stunning Play

After a stunning season so far already for both club and country, Raheem Sterling who yesterday so generously bought 550 FA Cup semi-final tickets for pupils of his old school, has been nominated for March’s PFA Fan Awards after his fine play for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Former Liverpool forward, Sterling has been on fire for both club and country this season and he is in 3rd position in Premier League scoring on 15 goals with teammate Sergio Aguero leading the way on 19 goals.

The classy Sterling scored a hat-trick for City against Watford and then did the same for England vs the Czech Republic in European Championship qualifying just over a week later. The man is on fire.

Other nominations for the PFA Fan award for March include Leicester City’s midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Liverpool’s forward Sadio Mane, Crystal Palace’s right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Everton’s left back Lucas Digne and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

City face Brighton next but in the FA Cup on Saturday while Liverpool play Southampton in the League tonight with the chance to go 2 points ahead of Pep’s side. City will of course have a game in hand but points in the bag are a good thing at this stage of the season so the Citizens will need to win their next game away at Crystal Palace to keep pace.

If Sadio Mane is correct with his target then the team that wins the Premier League will need to win all remaining 6 games. If City can do that and Liverpool do the same, City will win by a point so Pep Guardiola’s men hold their fate in their own hands.
