City Star Most ‘Valuable’ Player In The Premier League Ahead Of Alexander Arnold, Rashford And Kane

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been valued at €194.7m (£173.4m), making him the second most valuable player in Europe’s top five leagues, according to CIES Football Observatory.

Only Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe is ahead of the England international, with the Frenchman valued at a staggering €259.2m (£230.9m).

In the Premier League, though, Sterling is above the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold (€171.1m), Marcus Rashford, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Harry Kane, who all make the top ten.

The CIES Football Observatory based their calculations, not only on football ability but age, recent performances, position and economic value of the club they play for, as well as the teams who could realistically buy them.

Sterling certainly warrants his position on the list. The 25-year-old has been in incredible form over the past two seasons, having scored 45 goals in 90 appearances during that period.

Obviously, City have no intention of selling the forward in the near future, although the result of the CAS Appeal against the club’s European ban could affect things.
