Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has been included in WhoScored.com‘s Premier League Team of the Week.

The Belgian international scored and provided an assist in the 4-1 win over Liverpool, which led to his impressive 9.21 rating; the highest score of any player across the weekend:

De Bruyne has been criticised for some of his performances this season, with even manager Pep Guardiola questioning his form, but he was very much back to his best on Saturday afternoon.

In terms of the rest of the eleven, Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez was selected in goal, with a back four of Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier, Everton defender Michael Keane, Brentford’s Ethan Pinnock and Villa left-back Alex Moreno.

There were two more Villa stars named alongside De Bruyne in midfield, with John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey recognized for their displays against Chelsea, with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard also listed.

Former City striker Gabriel Jesus and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White completed the lineup.
