City Tipped To Make Surprise £26m Summer Swoop For In Form Serbian Playmaker

Manchester City are one of the teams interested in signing Ajax attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan publication reports that the Serbian is being pursued by the Premier League leaders as well as Bayern Munich following his impressive performances in the Champions League.

Tadic was instrumental in helping Ajax overcome Real Madrid in the last 16 of the competition, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the 4-1 win at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old only moved back to the Netherlands from Southampton for £15m last summer, and Ajax will likely demand almost double that amount (€30m or £26m) to sell him.

Tadic has been posting some impressive numbers for the Dutch club this campaign, hitting 26 goals and contributing 15 assists in 40 appearances.

It is a stark contrast to his final season at Southampton where he struggled for form, scoring just seven in 41 games for the Saints.
