City Told To Pay Above 28M For Moroccan Teenage Sensation Who Is Being Scouted By Host Of Clubs

Racing Genk want a national record transfer fee for Bilal El Khannouss, according to reports in the Belgian media.

It is believed that Manchester City and Napoli are leading the race for the Moroccan international, who has been attracting plenty of attention with his performances.

Manchester United and West Ham have also been scouting El Khannouss with the player turning people’s heads even though he has only made 20 senior appearances in his career so far.

Despite his inexperience, Genk are demanding clubs pay above the €32m (£28m) that AC Milan paid Club Brugge for Charles de Ketelaere last summer, which currently stands as the record fee paid to a Belgian team.

El Khannouss is undoubtedly a very talented teenager. He made his debut for Morocco at the World Cup in the third-place playoff against Croatia, but he is still pretty raw at 18 years of age. We shall see if Pep Guardiola’s side are prepared to meet Genk’s valuation.
